With gratitude

A gratitude journal is just a simple way of recording and appreciating the good things in life.

Research shows that keeping a gratitude journal leads to higher levels of alertness, happiness and positive emotions,
as well as a stronger immune system, lower blood pressure and better sleep.

Spa Church

I am grateful to Rev'd Sue Binks for giving me the opportunity to talk about Lourdes at the Spa Church today, even if it was a challenge!

This morning a group of fifteen from the village, including children and dogs, litter picked The Avenue, with horrifying results.

Committing to Lourdes

Today I made my commitment to become a full Hospitalier and to come to Lourdes to serve in the Sanctuary every year for a week if possible

Gratitude

Augusta, RIP

Gussie died peacefully this afternoon. She was a big part of our family, and I am so grateful for her constant company over the years, and the support and comfort of vets and friends.

Kingfisher

Such a privilege and so grateful to see a kingfisher this afternoon, only the third time in my life.

Gratitude

Wonderful weather

Grateful for this morning's wonderful and ideal running weather: cool, a little drizzle, no ice and, most importantly, no wind.

Gratitude

Breaking bread

The wreckage of the table after the last guest has left. Reinforcing friendships and sharing views is so much more important than simply breaking bread together.

Gratitude

Wicked World Syndrome

The 'wicked world syndrome' is where we see so much suffering and evil around us that we begin to believe, wrongly, that happiness is not possible.

Back to Gepettos

Very grateful to have Gepettos open again, and to see it full on a Friday evening.
