Gratitude journal
three good things

Shakespeare in York

Inspired as we were by last year’s wonderful Dream, we took our second trip to the pop-up Rose Theatre in York, this time to see The Tempest.

Alex was around so came too and it was an honour to bring along our great friends from the next village, who I hope really enjoyed the performance…

…which was amazing, if very different from last year’s Dream. Superb acting, in particular by Ariel, Prospero and Miranda

Someone has put so much thought into this. Not just the plays themselves, which are unstuffy, dynamic, energetic and a bit anarchic. The construction of the theatre and the Village all lend themselves to something so different from conventional theatre, and more what it would have been like in WS’s own day.

Grateful that there are still people around with the imagination and energy to bring these project to fruition.

A Gratitude Journal is just a simple way of
recording and appreciating the good things in life.

Research shows that keeping a gratitude journal leads to
higher levels of alertness, happiness and positive emotions as well as
a stronger immune system, lower blood pressure and better sleep.
