The countryside has been building up to harvest all year, which makes it uniquely special. The farmers are juggling so much now – the weather, the ripeness and dryness of the grain, the equipment and machinery which is often contracted out and in high demand.

We dedicated this edition of the News to our growers, and also included much about village life over the last few months, from our ‘Sports Day’ to our private open gardens as well as stories from the lives of our parishioners, including one who will shortly be leaving us.

We are a remarkable village, coming together at last as a result of the pandemic and the lockdown.
