Nunnington hosted three special events in June – the Jubilee Street Party, the blessing of the restored church bells combined with Melanie Burnside’s first officiating as a celebrant after her ordination and the re-instituted Nunnington Bash. We devoted the July Newsletter to full reports and pictures of all three events.

We also covered reports from families, farms, fields and the air, pastoral reflections on the importance of dialogue, historic gems about the village in days gone by and details of local businesses and their services. The swifts on Church Street have been amazing this year, inspiring me to re-print an essay I wrote on the birds last year.

As usual, we filled the back page with dates, times and other information that we felt the village might find useful. So much goes on in Nunnington!
