We so enjoyed making the July edition of the news. Post-covid, there was so much good news to report, including a spate of weddings (and a 30th anniversary) and notes on parties and events. Sadly, we had to report another death in the village, all adding to the rich cycle of life. Sue Binks reflected on the impact of pilgrimage in commemorating St James, to whom our parish church is dedicated.

As we live in the country, we also focused on countryside matters, including another blog from Nellie (this time from Scotland), a plea to preserve our wildlife and my review of Sally Coulthard’s new book about the history of the world seen through sheep.

Nunnington has so much history behind it, and we took the opportunity to include some photos of Nunnington in days gone by
