Gratitude journal
three good things

Good harvesting weather

I think everyone is grateful for the recent patch of good weather and record bank holiday temperatures, not least our farmers who were becoming increasingly stressed by the harvest-halting rain. Travelling round the countryside yesterday, it looks as though the majority of the harvest is in, and this morning is noticeable for the absence of the noise of tractors hauling trailers full of grain and grain dryers.

Its an iconic time of the year, and if combine harvesters have been the icon for the last few weeks, they are being replaced by the smoke and smell of those first autumn bonfires.

A Gratitude Journal is just a simple way of
recording and appreciating the good things in life.

Research shows that keeping a gratitude journal leads to
higher levels of alertness, happiness and positive emotionsĀ as well as
a stronger immune system, lower blood pressure and better sleep.
