Dream, pain and journey

Aug 2, 2023 | Professional reflections

I also developed examples of how to incorporate dream, pain and journey into the sales conversation.

Educate prospects about coaching using PAIN

You mentioned you were concerned that chucking in your job and going solo would leave you vulnerable and financially stretched. I get it. It’s a big jump to make. You have probably been close to making the jump on a number of occasions but have never gone all the way. That’s why I love coaching because it’s not about an unstructured decision. It’s about changing how you think about your work, life and money. It’s about dealing with the fear that prevents you from going solo, preparing to make the move, growing your resilience and making plans for success and setbacks. I am happy to share more about the process of changing to go solo if you are curious

Educate them about my coaching approach using DREAM

You mentioned you were concerned that chucking in your job and going solo would leave you vulnerable and financially stretched, and you haven’t been able to make the move yet. I understand that, and I am guessing that you really want to wake up in the morning, roll out of bed to get your first coffee of the day and discover you have sold three more watercolour courses overnight whilst waiting for the coffee to brew. That’s why I designed my coaching packages the way I did, to ensure we can put everything you need in place to succeed in your move in a way that minimises the risks and is easy to implement.

Educate them about my coaching approach using JOURNEY

As we have talked, you mentioned some things that stop you from going solo, including lack of information, fear, money, peer pressure and more. I get that, and that is why my coaching programme takes an entirely different approach and why we are not even going to talk about how to go solo until halfway through the programme. First, we’ll delve into your current circumstances to ensure you make informed decisions, then we’ll look at what you really want to achieve to ensure that setting up your own business will make you happy. Does that sound good? Then let me walk you through my proven FUTURE process.

Overcoming objections using PAIN

I know you said that £2,000 seemed like a lot of money just for some coaching, but let me ask you this. What is it costing you, as you said, to worry daily about being in a dead-end job and lacking any sense of purpose and fulfilment now that the kids have left home?

Overcoming objections using DREAM

I know you said that £2,000 seemed like a lot of money just for some coaching, but tell me, what is it worth to wake up every day and feel you have a real sense of purpose and direction, to know you are in control of your life and know your children will be as proud of you as you are of your children?

It is all about focus on the benefits
